The Authority of People with Disability (APD) visited a number of disability centers and associations in the Eastern Province to learn more about their services. His Excellency the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the APD, Dr. Hisham Al-Haidari, stated that the APD is keen to follow up on the services provided to persons with disabilities and to integrate with various sectors for their social empowerment and inclusion. He added that the distinct programs and qualitative initiatives that have significantly contributed to the provision of health and rehabilitation care, educational and training programs, and accessibility and integration for persons with disabilities reflect the support and attention of wise leadership towards persons with disabilities.

 The visit also included many centers and associations that provide services to persons with disabilities, including the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra), Prince Sultan Rehabilitation Complex (Efaa), Swaed Association for Physical Disability in the Eastern Province, ACCEL Ajyal Center for Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities, Shamah Autism Center, and many entities related to the empowerment of persons with disabilities in the region.

It is noteworthy that the Authority of People with Disability seeks to enhance the services provided to persons with disabilities in cooperation with various sectors, raise awareness among various members of society about disability issues, and meet the objectives of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.
