Authority for the Care of Persons with Disabilities signs a memorandum of understanding with the National Institute for Health Research to enhance research and develop services

As part of the activities of the World Health Forum 2024, the Authority for the Care of Persons with Disabilities signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Institute for Health Research, with the aim of enhancing and developing research, improving the quality of services provided to persons with disabilities through innovation and information exchange, and achieving integration between different sectors to support the empowerment of persons with disabilities.

The agreement was signed by the Authority’s CEO, Dr. Hisham bin Mohammed Al-Haidari, and the Institute’s CEO, Prof. Dr. Faris bin Qaed Al-Anzi. The memorandum aims to establish the foundations for cooperation in vital areas including research activities, exchange of expertise and knowledge, and identification of health research priorities, in addition to coordinating the exchange of data and statistics and enhancing joint work to raise awareness of the rights of persons with disabilities.

It is worth noting that the Authority for the Care of Persons with Disabilities focuses on enhancing the quality of services and integration with various sectors, as well as raising community awareness about disability issues and benefiting from related research and studies, with the aim of reaching a comprehensive and compatible society. For its part, the National Institute for Health Research seeks to support these efforts through innovative research that contributes to achieving a positive and sustainable impact that enhances the quality of life for people with disabilities.
