Talal Alanazi

The Board of the Authority of Persons with Disabilities (APD) held its 32nd meeting, chaired by His Excellency Eng. Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, Minister of Human Resources and Social Development and Chairman of APD’s Board. His Excellency welcomed the newly appointed and reappointed Board members and thanked those whose terms had concluded for their contributions during the past period. The Board reviewed APD’s strategic performance indicators, which aim to ensure that persons with disabilities obtain their rights, enhance the level of services provided to them, and improve coordination and integration with relevant sectors. The indicators also cover the development of policies and procedures that contribute to empowering persons with disabilities and facilitating their inclusion in society.

The Board discussed APD’s proposed budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2026 and reviewed the programs and initiatives implemented during the first quarter of the current year to improve the quality of life for persons with disabilities.

APD continues its efforts to empower persons with disabilities by enhancing the quality of services provided to them through integrated work with relevant sectors and by establishing policies and procedures that support the sustainability and integration of these services. The Authority is also working to raise community awareness of their rights, in pursuit of an inclusive, enabling society with equal opportunities for all.
