The Authority of People with Disabilities and the Association of First-Class Clubs signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at enabling people with disabilities to participate comprehensively and effectively in sports competitions. It is also aimed at raising the level of awareness in the community through joint media campaigns and programs that the two parties will build.
The memorandum was signed by Dr.
Hisham bin Muhammad Al-Haidary, the CEO of the Authority of People with
Disabilities, and Mr. Talal bin Abdullah Al-Obaidi, the Chairman of the Board
of Directors of the Association of First-Class Clubs.
Dr. Al-Haidary indicated that the
memorandum aims to encourage people with disabilities to available job
opportunities, whether seasonal or permanent, in the First Division League and
to facilitate material and non-material access for People with disabilities
within the scope of public participation.
Al-Obaidi added that in
cooperation with the Authority, they would train the association's employees in
many training programs on interacting with People with disabilities and
assistance programs to enhance the quality of the provided services.
It is noteworthy that the
Authority for the Care of People with Disabilities aims to ensure that People
with disabilities obtain their rights and achieve the vision of the Kingdom of
Saudi Arabia in providing integration into society and moving towards an
inclusive community.
