The Authority of People with Disability hosts the inventor Khaled bin Dhaidan Al-Mutairi. The inventor presented his experiences in creating and inventing several devices that contribute to the independence of persons with disabilities and facilitate daily practices in movement or communication. Through his continuous activity, 13 patents were registered. During the meeting, he talked about the motivation behind his innovations: the need for invention. Also, that his disability allowed him to reflect and think about the tools that people with disabilities need to facilitate their daily work in ways that suit them at a low cost, such as elevators, wheelchairs, mobility aids, and some technologies that enhance communication with others. His Excellency Dr. Hisham Al-Haidari, CEO of the Authority of People with Disability stressed the importance of empowering and supporting inventors with disability through the programs created by the Authority in cooperation with stakeholders such as the Social Development Bank. His Excellency expressed his pride in the achievements of persons with disabilities, which contribute to their empowerment and comprehensive participation in society, competition for international awards, and their representation of the country in relevant conferences and exhibitions.
