The Authority of People with Disability (APD) held its twelfth periodic meeting in the presence of the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, and the Chairman of the APD’s Board of Directors, Eng. Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi. In its meeting, the Board reviewed several topics of interest in the affairs of people with disabilities, in addition to a number of development topics. The most prominent of which were the challenges facing people with disabilities in air transport. The Board also reviewed the agreements signed with the relevant authorities. Moreover, the Board was briefed on the most prominent challenges facing people with mobility impairment. Through its continuous work, the APD seeks to develop the legislative and organizational structure, coordinate roles between government entities regarding the rights of people with disabilities as well as enhance and integrate services to achieve the objectives of the Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
