The Board of Directors of the Authority of People with Disability (APD) held its seventeenth meeting, chaired by the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development and the Chairman of the APD’s Board of Directors, Eng. Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi. Several topics were discussed during the meeting, including updates on the Board’s previous recommendations; the most prominent challenges facing persons with disabilities in the field of education; follow-up updates on comprehensive accessibility; the agreements and memoranda of cooperation that have been signed with government entities; reviewing the internal and external participation of the APD; and the future of the Purple Saturday initiative. The Board of Directors pointed out the role of the APD in cooperating and integrating with the relevant authorities through holding workshops and training courses that would raise awareness about disability among all members of society.‏
