Today, Wednesday, September 28, 2022, the Authority of People with Disability organized the second Empowerment Partners Forum for persons with disabilities under the title “Empowering the Non-Profit Sector”. The participants included the National Center for Non-Profit Sector, which aims to present the experiences of associations concerned with persons with disabilities and consolidate their efforts in order to identify the challenges facing the non-profit sector in providing services, training programs, and rehabilitation programs for persons with disabilities. The CEO of the Authority of People with Disability, Dr. Hisham Al-Haidari, pointed out that it is important for associations to cooperate and achieve common goals that contribute to raising the quality of services provided to persons with disabilities and achieving the goals of Saudi Arabia’s 2030 Vision through ensuring the integration and empowerment of persons with disabilities in the labor market and society. Moreover, developing the appropriate training programs for people with disabilities in cooperation and integration with various sectors, including the National Center for Non-Profit Sector. The head of the National Center for Non-Profit Sector, Ahmed Al-Suwailem, confirmed that the center is working towards consolidating efforts between sectors, integrating them, and achieving organized institutional work aimed at providing the appropriate service to the beneficiaries of associations. Furthermore, cooperating with various associations to present successful experiences with the aim of developing the services provided, achieving their sustainability, and integrating the training and rehabilitation programs provided to them. It is worth noting that the Authority of People with Disability has organized many forums in order to raise the quality of services provided to persons with disabilities and to enhance all efforts to achieve an inclusive and harmonious society, which ultimately achieves the goal of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in empowering persons with disabilities.
