The Authority of People with Disability and the Sports Boulevard Foundation Sign a Memorandum of Understanding

Today, Monday, August 28, 2023, the Authority of People with Disability (APD) and the Sports Boulevard Foundation (SBF) signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at cooperation in the exchange of information and identification of best practices for all matters pertaining to residents and visitors with disabilities in Riyadh.

The memorandum is consistent with the APD's framework for enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. In addition, it highlights the importance of sport and its impact on enhancing the physical and mental health of individuals with disabilities, as well as facilitating their social interaction in an inclusive and harmonious environment. It serves the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which includes numerous initiatives and services designed to support and empower people with disabilities by facilitating their digital access to information and programs, granting them comprehensive access, and exchanging experiences and statistical data.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Dr. Hisham Alhaidary, CEO of the Authority of People with Disability and Jayne McGivern, CEO of Sports Boulevard Foundation.

Dr. Hisham Alhaidary, CEO of the APD, stated, "We believe this partnership with the Sports Boulevard Foundation will have a significant and lasting positive impact on the lives of people with disabilities in Riyadh. By working together, we can guarantee that all members of society have access to and the means to utilize the project's innovative facilities."

Jayne McGivern, CEO of the SBF, for her part, expressed that "the Sports Boulevard Foundation will provide sports facilities for the whole of Riyadh to enjoy. This important partnership will help us achieve our shared vision of creating an inclusive society where everyone can participate in what the Sports Boulevard has to offer. We look forward to collaborating on future initiatives that promote accessibility and inclusion."
