The Authority of People with Disability (APD) concluded the activities of Tamkeenthon, which aims to create innovation opportunities that enhance the inclusiveness and integration of individuals with disabilities across all domains. Tamkeenthon exhibits over 680 innovative ideas, encompassing programs, projects, and solutions that aim to furnish reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities and foster an empowering community across diverse domains.

His Excellency Dr. Hisham Al-Haidari, the chief executive officer (CEO) of the APD, emphasized the significance of innovation in our daily lives and stated that Tamkeenthon is a chance to create solutions that meet the requirements of individuals with disabilities. During his speech at the closing ceremony, he discussed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's contribution to the empowerment of individuals with disabilities through the creation of initiatives, policies, and programs that promote such empowerment. He asserted that Tamkeenthon is compatible with what the APD is working on in creating solutions and programs for individuals with disabilities across multiple sectors.

Individuals with disabilities also participated in Tamkeenthon, among the teams participating in the final qualifiers for the hackathon. The ten qualifying teams presented their ideas through which they had competed in Tamkeenthon. The winners of the best three ideas that promote empowerment and enhance the quality of life for individuals with disabilities were subsequently declared. First place was won by Bahaa's group for designing and developing technical and functional apparel for individuals with a variety of disabilities. The Ma'ak team won second place with their application, which makes it easier to find qualified companions and guides for individuals with disabilities. Third place was awarded to the Sama'a Tech team for their bracelet innovation that uses vibration and illumination to notify individuals with hearing disabilities in emergency and alert situations. Notably, out of the over 680 initial submissions for ideas in Tamkeenthon, 207 innovations and ideas qualified for the digital camp, of which 20 teams were qualified for the hackathon.

Through organizing Tamkeenthon in its first edition, the APD aims to reach a comprehensive society that enhances integration and inclusion within society, which is in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 objectives of empowering individuals with disabilities and facilitating their integration across various domains.
