His Excellency Eng. Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) and Chairman of the Board of Directors (BOD) of the Authority of People with Disability (APD), chaired the twenty-second meeting today, Thursday, November 16, 2023, via visual communication. The BOD discussed the most prominent efforts presented in the transport and logistics services industry and reviewed proposals pertaining to individuals with disabilities and their families. The meeting was attended by His Excellency Ahmed bin Sufyan Al-Hassan, the Assistant Minister of Transport and Logistics Services.

In addition, the BOD and the Assistant Minister of Transport and Logistics Services reached an agreement to establish collaborative work teams between the APD and the transport ecosystem and to address all obstacles facing individuals with disabilities when utilizing transportation and logistics services. The BOD reviewed the projects, activities, and initiatives that the APD concentrated on throughout the third quarter of the current fiscal year.

It is worth noting that the APD functions as an umbrella for all matters pertaining to individuals with disabilities, granting them full rights and empowering them. In addition, building an integrated institutional ecosystem to eliminate barriers and ensure nondiscrimination against individuals with disabilities, providing the necessary means of prevention, care, and rehabilitation, and fully integrating them in all aspects of life.
