A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on empowering people with disabilities was signed by the Authority of People with Disability (APD) and the National Center for Performance Measurement (Adaa). The MoU aims to benefit from all disability-related research and studies, shared experiences in ensuring the sustainability of programs and services for people with disabilities, and the inclusion of people with disabilities in all performance measurement questionnaires.
The two parties will also work towards spreading disability awareness and creating accessible content for people with different types of disabilities. The memorandum was signed by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the APD, Dr. Hisham bin Mohammed Al-Haidari, and the Director-General of Adaa, Eng. Rashid bin Abdullah Al-Qaoud.
It is noteworthy that the APD has signed many agreements and memoranda of cooperation with various government sectors. These agreements seek to enhance the services provided to persons with disabilities, ensure decent living standards, and ultimately achieve an inclusive and harmonious society.
