The Authority of People with Disability signed a memorandum of cooperation with Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University (PNU) in the presence of Her Excellency the President of PNU, Dr. Enas bint Sulaiman Al-Issa, and the CEO of the Authority, Dr. Hisham bin Mohammed Al-Haidary, at the university's headquarters. The memorandum aims to enhance cooperation between the two parties in the fields of education, training, research, and consultancy per the regulations. The areas of cooperation between the two parties have been to increase the empowerment of persons with disabilities in the education programs provided by PNU, the establishment of university halls and facilities to meet the requirements of accessibility for female students with disability, and for providing data and information on such. The two parties also agreed to cooperate in the design of training programs, research and consulting studies on persons with disabilities, identify the labor market's need for employees with disabilities and cooperate in raising the percentage of the participation of Saudi women with disabilities in development through the National Observatory for Women. The purpose of the Memorandum of Cooperation is to enhance the efficiency of education and training, enhance integration between the government sectors and achieve the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 related to persons with disabilities.
